Naval Applications
The Model 7060 and 8060 MEDG (MIOX Electrolytic Disinfectant Generator) for naval applications, manufactured by Howell Laboratories, incorporates the MIOX mixed-oxidant technology. The systems are currently installed on the USS Enterprise CVN-65, the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71, and various U.S. Navy LPD and LHD vessels. This unit provides disinfection of potable water on-board aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships. The systems are qualified to meet the full extent of military shipboard requirements, including high-impact shock, vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and airborne noise.
