Safety

How do you keep your workers and community safe? By designing a safe, on-site generator.

The equipment design has been reviewed and approved by leading consultant Hydrogen Safety, LLC, as per the attached letter.  MIOX Corporation also maintains a trained hydrogen safety specialist on staff.

MIOX on-site generators are designed for maximum safety, including the design of the electrolytic cell, the hydrogen venting system, and the cabinet enclosure.

The rectangular cell design allows for very little head space where hydrogen gas can accumulate. In addition, the cells are tested at a low rupture pressure of 30 psi (207 kpa), meaning that if an incident occurs, it will be less energetic. Last of all, the systems incorporate rupture discs that prevent build-up of pressure within the cell.

MIOX Corporation’s standard venting system is a liquid barrier hydrogen safety system, which employs the principle of a liquid gas trap that vents all hydrogen to the atmosphere. There are no moving parts that can fail, and it does not rely on operator intervention or electrical power to function. If preferred, MIOX also offers a dual blower-driven dilution air system, which is integrated into the RIO series design.

The electrolytic cell, transformer, and controls are fully enclosed in cabinets for mid-size systems and larger.  This tested and proven design protects the operator from an abnormal event and minimizes equipment exposure to harsh environmental conditions.

MIOX Corporation has an excellent safety record and continues to test and explore its equipment to verify that the equipment is designed for maximum safety.
