The MIOX system is engineered to be self-preserving.
MIOX equipment employs a number of features to protect the system — particularly the electrolytic cell — from undesirable operating conditions. A thermal monitoring system measures cell inlet and outlet temperatures to shut the system down if temperatures or cell flow are outside normal operating parameters. Use of three-way sample valves prevents the potential for blocked flows. Rupture discs automatically drain the cell should pressures exceed safe limits, protecting the cell from damage.
