Quality Engineer

Job Summary:  Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for MIOX production line. Works directly with Engineering Team to ensure quality practices are followed and provide feedback during design process.

Major Duties
 Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
 Devises sampling procedures, forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
 Works directly with Shipping/Receiving to initiate a quality check for incoming/outgoing shipments.
 Maintains existing certification requirements (NSF) while establishing new requirements (UL, CE, CSA)
 Engineering analysis to support design concepts
 Assist with assembly of prototype parts and systems, and prepare production work instructions.
 Maintaining the electronic documentation system including up to date drawings, bill of materials, drawing lists, part specifications, and other documents necessary for a completely documented engineering package. 
 Utilize company engineering procedures to prepare Engineering Change Proposals and Change Orders to make changes to “released” product designs. 
 Other duties as assigned.

Related Experience Required
 Knowledge of special equipment
 Experience in Quality/Control Engineering preferred but not required
 Experience in Engineering Change Proposals/Change Orders
 Capable of multi-tasking several projects at once/ability to prioritize

Related Experience Preferred
 Strong organizational skills
 Experience level: entry level to 10 years
 Knowledge of 3-D CAD is preferred: SolidWorks
 Previous interaction with parts vendors, machine shops, sheet metal shops and other fabrication companies

Education and/or training required
 Bachelor of Science, Engineering (Quality, Mechanical)
 Basic chemistry/laboratory exposure (eg. College lab)
