Certifications
We are proud to present you with the certifications and recognitions we’ve received at every level.
At MIOX Corporation, we don’t expect you to simply take our word for the many outstanding benefits of our technology and products, or our expertise in on-site generation.
With over ten years of experience in the market, and MIOX equipment actively processing more than a billion gallons of water a day, MIOX has had ample opportunity to be inspected, examined, researched and certified.
DID YOU KNOW? Mixed-oxidant systems are subject to the same Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulatory requirements associated with conventional chlorine systems, including the use of chlorine CT values. Conversely, our technology eliminates the EPA’S need to require monitoring for chlorine dioxide residuals, chlorite, or bromate.
Mixed-oxidant technology in drinking water applications is fully accepted by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Sanitary Foundation International (NSF), and a multitude of state regulatory agencies.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):

- “On-site generated oxidants” are listed by the EPA as a compliance technology for drinking water systems.
- The MSR MIOX Purifier has passed the EPA Guide Standard & Protocol for Microbiological Purifiers, by inactivating bacteria, viruses, and protozoan cysts to required levels in both “Type 1” and “Type 2” waters.
- EPA Establishment Number 69723-NM-001.

- MIOX systems and solution storage tanks are certified by NSF International (NSF) as safe for drinking water applications, as well as effective for use in pools and spas.
- SAL, MIOX, and HYPO generators are certified under NSF/ANSI Standard 61, which is a toxicology study for drinking water system components.
- MIOX solution tanks up to 5,000 gallons are also certified under NSF/ANSI Standard 61.
- MIOX SAL systems are certified under NSF/ANSI Standard 50 for pool and spa applications.
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA):

- The USDA has granted approval for the use of MIOX in federally inspected meat and poultry plants.
State Health Department Approvals:
MIOX technology is used in 44 states throughout the United States. Additional installations are pending in several of the remaining states. Feel free to contact our sales agents on a state-by-state basis for additional information and certifications.
International Health Department Approvals:
MIOX has installations in over 25 countries. For specific approvals in various countries and/or regions, please contact our international distributors.
General Services Administration (GSA):

- MIOX equipment can be purchased through the General Services Administration for both capital equipment (#GS-10F-8749G) and the MSR MIOX Purifier (#GS-07F-5451R).
