Cem Candir

General Manager

Cem (pronounced as “Gem”) Candir is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MIOX. As a Turkish native, Cem worked for GE Water and Procter & Gamble for more than 15 years in global leadership roles from Sales to Finance to Supply Chain; growing businesses, building high performance organizations, establishing market strategies and driving operational excellence.

As the Director of Supply Chain Operations at GE Water, Cem lead the global supply chain operations delivering $1.2 billion in revenue fulfillment from 17 global plants for the water treatment chemicals business. Cem also established a “contract manufacturing business” within GE Water, creating a $30 million revenue business. Cem was also instrumental in the greenfield localization of GE Water in China and India. Prior to his tenure at GE Water, Cem held various leadership roles at Procter & Gamble / Gillette focused on driving top line growth.

Cem holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey with an MBA from University of Minnesota, with a full scholarship.  Cem also completed a series of management training at GE’s  Crotonville facility in New York and obtained certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

 

Justin Sanchez

Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering

For more than seven years, Justin Sanchez’s leadership and management have transformed MIOX Corporation into the leader in on-site chemical generation innovation, reliability and efficiency.  Prior to MIOX, Justin held increasingly demanding roles at Intel Corporation manufacturing and was the Chief Engineer at Qynergy, an alternative battery technology start-up.  As Director of Operations at Advent Solar, a venture-backed, high-efficiency solar cell company, he transformed a pilot line manufacturing facility from an empty room to first customer shipments. 

A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Justin holds his BS and MS in Materials Science, and was a sponsored participant in MIT’s Leaders for Manufacturing Program.  He also has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management
